Upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, our team will warmly greet you and ensure a seamless transfer to your hotel. Once you've checked in, take some time to relax and rejuvenate. In the evening, join us for a delightful welcome dinner hosted by Touching Mountain Treks. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow travelers and kick off your Nepal journey on a memorable note. Enjoy your overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Today, we'll start our day with a delightful breakfast before delving into a guided tour of Kathmandu's rich historical and spiritual landmarks. Our itinerary includes visits to UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the iconic Durbar Square, the revered Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath), and the impressive Bouddhanath Buddhist shrine, renowned as one of the largest stupas globally.
At noon, we'll gather for a pre-trip discussion where we'll meet our trek leader and fellow team members. Touching Mountain Treks will provide us with a detailed briefing about our upcoming trek, giving us the opportunity to ask any questions and ensuring we're fully prepared for the adventure ahead. We'll spend the night in Kathmandu, ready to kickstart our trekking journey.

Your trip's start may vary depending on the trekking season. During March, April, May, September, October, and November, flights from Kathmandu to Lukla might be redirected to Manthali Airport. To catch an early morning flight from Manthali to Lukla, we'll pick you up from your hotel around 12:30 am for a 5-hour drive to Manthali Airport. The flight from Manthali to Lukla takes about 20 minutes. In other months (December, January, February, June, July, and August), you will fly directly from Kathmandu to Lukla.
Alternatively, you can book a helicopter from Kathmandu to Lukla, avoiding the long drive to Manthali. The cost for a helicopter, when split among five people, is approximately 550 USD per person.
Once you land at Lukla Airport, we will gather and start our trek to Phakding, passing through Chaurikharka Village. This initial short trek helps with acclimatization. In Phakding, we will visit local monasteries, including the Rimishung Monastery.

We will continue our trek along the northern side of the Dudh Koshi River, enjoying breathtaking views along the way. Crossing numerous suspension bridges, including the iconic Hillary Suspension Bridge, we will feel deeply immersed in the natural surroundings. Our path will take us to Sagarmatha National Park, where we'll register our permits before heading into the dense forest. Here, we'll catch our first glimpses of Mt. Everest. Our destination for the day is Namche Bazaar, famously known as the gateway to Everest.
To ensure proper acclimatization to the altitude, we will spend some time at Namche Bazaar. Although we won’t be trekking during this period, there are plenty of activities to keep you entertained.
Namche Bazaar is home to many Wi-Fi-equipped hotels, restaurants, and cafes. You can explore shops stocked with trekking gear and souvenirs. Additionally, we can visit noteworthy sites such as Hillary School, Sherpa settlements, Syangboche Airport, Yak farms, and the Everest View Hotel, which offers stunning views of Mount Everest, Mt Amadablam and more.

Our trek begins in Namche, with Tengboche as our final destination. Along the way, we will be treated to breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. The trail is demanding, featuring numerous ascents and descents, but the effort is well worth it for the spectacular scenery and glimpses of high-altitude wildlife such as musk deer, pheasants, and Himalayan Thar. Before arriving at Tengboche, we will pass through the charming village of Phunki Thenga. The trail then continues to Tengboche, where we will visit the renowned Tengboche Monastery. The atmosphere here is serene and spiritually enriching.

Today, we will journey from Tengboche to Dingboche. Along the way, we'll encounter chortens, mani walls, and charming small villages, with the striking view of Ama Dablam standing out as a highlight. Our route follows the Lobuche River as we make our way into the Imja Valley, culminating in a steep ascent to Dingboche. Once in Dingboche, you'll notice fields surrounded by stone walls, built to shield crops from the harsh climate.
Upon arriving in Dingboche, you'll have reached a significant altitude, making it essential to acclimatize. We will dedicate this day to climbing the ridge above Dingboche, where we can enjoy breathtaking, close-up views of the snow-covered peaks, including Lhotse, the backside of Ama Dablam, Island Peak, Cho Oyu, and Makalu. To the north of Dingboche, the majestic Himalayan peaks rise above the Khumbu Khola valley. Dingboche village itself feels like an untouched piece of earth, as if frozen in time.

Our trek begins with a brief ascent from Dingboche. We will cross a glacial moraine and pass by a small cluster of lodges. As we climb higher, the mountain views become increasingly impressive. The trail takes us to Thukla Pass, where memorial statues honor climbers who didn't make it. Overall, the trek is very enjoyable, and once we reach Lobuche, we'll stop to rest and spend the night there.

On this day, you'll reach your final destination. The trek begins in Lobuche and follows the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier until you arrive at Gorak Shep. From Gorak Shep, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of some of the world's tallest mountains. After dropping off your belongings, you'll continue on to Everest Base Camp. This is the highest point you can reach without specialized equipment. It's a significant accomplishment, a testament to your courage and determination. This moment of triumph is one you'll likely cherish and remember for the rest of your life.

On the ninth day, we reach the highlight of our journey. We'll rise early to visit Kala Patthar, renowned for its spectacular sunrise views of Mt. Everest and surrounding peaks. This spot offers breathtaking panoramic vistas of the Himalayas. After soaking in the scenery, we'll head back down to Gorak Shep for breakfast and a bit of rest. Following that, we'll continue our trek to Periche, our destination for the day.

After continuous ascent, it's now time to descend. We'll start our day at Periche, have breakfast, and trace our route along the Dudh Koshi River until we reach Namche Bazaar, where we'll stay overnight.
