Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, the dedicated team at Himalayan Glacier will extend a warm welcome and ensure a seamless transfer to your hotel. Once checked in, take some time to rejuvenate and unwind. In the evening, join us for a delightful welcome dinner hosted by Touching Mountain Treks, where you can connect with fellow travelers and kick-start your Nepalese adventure on a memorable note. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in Kathmandu as you prepare for the exciting experiences ahead.
Today, we start our day with a delightful breakfast before embarking on a guided tour to discover the rich historical and spiritual heritage of Kathmandu. Our exploration includes UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the iconic Durbar Square, the revered Pashupatinath Hindu temple, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath), and the impressive Bouddhanath Buddhist shrine, renowned as one of the largest stupas globally.
At noon, we gather for a pre-trip discussion where we meet our trek leader and fellow team members. Touching Mountain Treks provides a detailed briefing about our upcoming adventure, allowing us to ask questions and ensuring we are fully prepared for the journey ahead. We spend the night in Kathmandu, eagerly anticipating the start of our trekking expedition.

Your journey on the Everest Three Passes Trek commences with a scenic flight to Lukla. During peak trekking seasons such as March, April, May, September, October, and November, flights from Kathmandu to Lukla might be routed through Manthali Airport. To catch the early morning flight from Manthali, we'll arrange a pick-up from your hotel around 12:30 am for a 5-hour drive to Manthali Airport. From there, you'll enjoy a 20-minute flight to Lukla, marking the start of your adventure.
Alternatively, you can opt for a helicopter charter from Kathmandu to Lukla, bypassing the Kathmandu-Manthali-Lukla route. The cost per person is approximately 550 USD when shared among five passengers, providing a swift and scenic journey.
In the off-peak months of December, January, February, June, July, or August, you'll fly directly from Kathmandu to Lukla. After a hearty breakfast, we'll escort you to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for a 40-minute flight to Tenzing Hillary Airport in Lukla.
Upon arrival in Lukla, you'll descend to the Thado Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges en route to Phakding. This initial trek is short and enjoyable, allowing for acclimatization. In Phakding, we'll arrange a visit to the local Rimishung Monastery, adding cultural depth to your journey.

We'll kick off our journey bright and early from Phakding, heading northward along the scenic Dudh Koshi River. Along the way, we'll cross several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge.
Our route will lead us through picturesque Monjo Village, dense forests, and rugged trails until we reach the Sagarmatha National Park Check Post. Here, we'll complete permit registrations and ascend through the forest. It's at this point that you'll catch your first glimpse of majestic Mt. Everest. Our trek continues until we reach the vibrant hub of Namche Bazaar, our goal for the day.
Today is designated as an acclimatization day in Namche. We suggest taking the time to discover Namche Bazaar, a vibrant town with plenty to offer. You'll find a variety of Wi-Fi-connected cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops, and gear stores here. Additionally, you have several options for exploration, such as visiting the Sagarmatha National Park visitor center, exploring traditional Sherpa settlements, seeing the Hillary School, visiting Khumjung monastery, exploring Dingboche Airport, and experiencing the Everest Hotel.

Leaving Namche Bazaar, the journey towards Thame unfolds alongside the Bhote Koshi River, traversing through enchanting pine and rhododendron forests. Along the route, you'll encounter the serene mud-plastered stupa at Phurte, adding a touch of spirituality to the trek. Continuing onwards, you'll pass through Thamo and its ancient Thamo Gompa, before descending steeply towards the Khumbu Hydroelectric Plant. This descent leads you to Thame, nestled at the culmination of the Khumbu Valley.
Thame holds a special place in Sherpa culture, being the hometown of renowned mountaineers like Apa Sherpa, who has summited Everest a record 21 times. It's also the childhood home of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, one of the first individuals to conquer Mt. Everest alongside Edmund Hillary.
Continue your trek from Thame to Lungden (4,500m), passing through rugged terrain and enjoying the serene Himalayan landscapes.
Trek from Lungden to Gokyo Lake (4,750m) via the challenging Renjo La Pass (5,446m), offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and pristine lakes.
Take a rest day in Gokyo to acclimatize, with an optional early morning hike to Gokyo Ri viewpoint (5,400m) for spectacular mountain panoramas.
Embark on a trek from Gokyo (4,790m) to Thangnak (4,700m), traversing through picturesque landscapes and enjoying the tranquility of the mountains.
Trek from Thangnak to Dzongla (4,855m) via the challenging Cho La Pass (5,420m), offering thrilling mountain views and a sense of accomplishment.
Continue your trek from Dzongla to Lobuche (4,910m), approaching the iconic Everest Base Camp and experiencing the grandeur of the Himalayas.
Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and then back to Gorak Shep (5,185m), where you'll witness the majestic Everest up close and explore the base camp.
Embark on a hike to the Kala Patthar viewpoint (5,555m) for breathtaking sunrise views of Mount Everest. Then, trek back to Lobuche (4,910m) for a change of scenery.
Trek from Lobuche to Chhukung (4,730m) via the challenging Kongma La Pass (5,535m), offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and a thrilling mountain adventure.
Continue your trek from Chhukung to Tengboche (3,855m), a picturesque village known for its monastery and stunning views of Ama Dablam and Everest.
